Elan Valley, the lakeland of Wales, an internationally important wildlife site of over 70 square miles. The land is owned by Dŵr Cymru and is managed by the Elan Valley Trust. It contains five reservoirs which have supplied water to Birmingham for a hundred years. Today the area is very popular with visitors who come to enjoy the magnificent scenery and explore on foot, bicycle and horseback.
